Do you ever feel trapped, holding on to the bars that limit your life, hoping that one day you can be free? That one day you can discover how to open them or go through them into a new world?
It is hard to find a way, there are many moments you don’t believe you will ever see the other side of those bars. You wonder often how you got yourself into that situation and whether this is really going to be your life?
But then you wonder, are there are others in the same situation and more important do they feel like you? Will they see you as much as you can see them?
Your eyes meet and you realise they feel the same! They see you, they can really see you!
But then you start wondering again, do they see only the one I have become?
Or are they able to see as well the one I was before? The free spirit running around without obstacles in the way? The “not a care in the world” type whose only purpose in life was to explore the world, relax and have fun?
Yes, I know I am safe. I have a roof over my head and can pretty much sit here all day and nobody cares.
I also have plenty of food, although sometimes somebody else wants to fight me for it.
Is it worth fighting? I get to a point when I have to scream louder and say enough is enough!
We are in this together so better to support each other instead. Let’s just kiss and make up.
It is always better to work as a unit, sharing the special moments in our lives, even if it is just a meal or raising our children.
So until we can succeed in overcoming life’s obstacles and becoming again who we really are, let’s have faith to look ahead until the future can catch up with us.
But once we are old, we can also look back to remind ourselves of all the good memories.
That is life!
In the meantime, Hakuna Matata, no worries, just enjoy the moment!
