Run, run, run!
Since we are able to walk, we spend our life running towards or away from situations or people.
I remember running towards my parents’s open arms and being sure I was loved. Or running towards the sea when we went to the beach and feeling that first impact of the cold salty water on my skin. Or running to school when I knew I was late, thinking what the teacher would say. Or running away from boys who liked to chase us girls in primary school and towards my brother’s protective arms…
So many moments! It feels like we spend most of our lives running, rushing and feeling overwhelmed for not having enough time or legs to accomplish everything we believe we should.
Many people just don’t realise it is fine to stop running and enjoy the moment.
But what if you run for pleasure? To challenge yourself and your limits and gain strength and confidence?
Then we are talking about another type of running. One that will make you feel you can do anything and at the end even if you don’t come first, it does not matter.
It is not important how fast you go, what shoes you wear to get there but rather the process you go through and also the people who cheer you on along the way. Those are the ones you should always cherish.
So run, run, run …
